Requirements
Must:
- 12+ years of experience in a NOC, network engineering, or related operations environment
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, VLANs, and routing/switching
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network devices like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or equivalent
- Proficiency in utilizing network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Wireshark
- Strong diagnostic skills to handle complex network incidents while under pressure
- Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes
- Capability to analyze logs, performance metrics, and traffic flows
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee network systems, servers, circuits, and applications to maintain high availability and performance
- Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network and system problems in real-time
- Manage escalation protocols and collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors as needed
- Conduct root-cause analyses for outages and suggest preventive measures to avert future incidents
- Accurately track and update incident tickets, documentation, and status reports
- Assist in implementing changes, updates, and maintenance tasks while minimizing downtime
- Configure and resolve issues related to routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and WAN/LAN connectivity
- Ensure adherence to operational standards, security protocols, and best practices
- Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify performance or capacity challenges
- Participate in on-call rotation and offer support during off-hours when necessary
