Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in software development
- Proficiency in .NET development with C# in both web-based and desktop environments
- Strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics development on-premises
- Experience with Visual Studio
- Familiarity with SQL database backend development
- Development experience with MVC frameworks
- Proven skills in LINQ
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Experience in programming major enhancements and bug fixes for existing systems
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar configuration management tools
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical developers, architects, and managers, as well as non-technical subject matter experts
- Develop software systems for various motor vehicle services, including drivers license issuance and vehicle registration
- Analyze and implement defined customer requirements
- Diagnose and rectify identified problems
- Perform testing and validation to ensure systems meet user requirements
- Produce source code that adheres to ITD quality standards and established procedures
- Release object code that satisfies ITD quality criteria
- Interact with team members in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Document development processes and code changes

We are the Idaho Transportation Departments Division of Motor Vehicles located in Boise, Idaho. Our mission is to provide essential motor vehicle registration, operator licensing, and regulatory compliance services as mandated by state and federal laws. Our DMV is currently undertaking a significant modernization initiative to enhance our systems and maintain a robust source code baseline. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team working on vital vehicle services that impact our community.
