Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience/training
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
- Masters degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Experience in the airline industry is a plus
- Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring/SpringBoot and FastAPI
- Expertise in front-end technologies like Angular or React
- Experience with deployment technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Knowledge of source control systems like GitHub and Azure DevOps
- Understanding of CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps
- Proficient in data management tools including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
- Experience with integration and API technologies including Kafka, REST, and GraphQL
- Familiarity with cloud providers like Azure and AWS
- Experience in test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Postman, and others
- Strong ability to optimize solutions for performance, reliability, and simplicity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in object-oriented design principles
- Experience in Agile methodologies such as SCRUM
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and document technical deliverables in accordance with our organizational standards
- Focus on enhancing the quality and craftsmanship of our products and systems
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and recommend actions for improvement
- Design and lead the implementation of self-contained systems within the teams domain
- Mentor team members to improve reliability, security, and performance of systems
- Break down complex designs into manageable implementations for junior engineers
- Anticipate challenges in system development and guide the team in effective practices
- Define test suites that ensure latency and availability targets are met in production
- Lead by example in addressing open vulnerabilities
- Analyze potential security threats and guide the team in implementing best practices
- Facilitate the identification and prioritization of small work batches to deliver high value quickly
- Advocate for reusable solutions in all team implementations
- Observe and propose new approaches to address challenges within the team
