Requirements
Must:
- Over 12 years of comprehensive IT experience with significant hands-on skills in Java/J2EE application development.
- Proven track record of leading DevOps implementations within enterprise or large-scale settings.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, and Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in containerization solutions including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Strong familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Proficient in Git and strategic version control branching practices.
- Skilled in build management tools like Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledgeable in Linux/Unix system administration and scripting languages (Shell, Python, or Groovy).
- Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and application performance monitoring techniques.
- Experience with microservices architecture, API deployments, and service mesh technology.
- Excellent communication abilities and capability to collaborate with various technical teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Direct the full DevOps strategy, implementation, and governance for Java applications.
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps.
- Oversee and automate deployment processes through different environments including QA, staging, and production.
- Supervise containerization and orchestration efforts with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Assist development teams in building automation frameworks and integrating code management solutions.
- Monitor application performance, health, and infrastructure reliability using current monitoring solutions.
- Work alongside architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to develop optimal system solutions.
- Establish and enforce DevOps best practices, security guidelines, and operational documentation standards.
- Efficiently resolve build failures, deployment challenges, and production incidents.
- Manage the provisioning and scaling of cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Offer leadership, mentorship, and technical support to both DevOps and development team members.
