Requirements
Must:
- 12+ years of experience in IT Asset Management or related IT operations leadership
- Strong understanding of hardware and software lifecycle management processes
- Familiarity with asset management tools such as ServiceNow ITAM/CMDB, Flexera, Snow, or similar
- Proven experience in software license compliance and vendor contract management
- Excellent analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and financial management skills
- Ability to manage extensive asset inventories and complex environments within large organizations
- Solid grasp of procurement practices, IT budgeting, and cost optimization strategies
- Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Experience with ITIL frameworks; ITIL certification is preferred
- Capability to lead projects, establish standards, and enhance operational efficiency
Responsibilities
- Direct the complete lifecycle management of IT hardware and software assets from planning and acquisition to deployment, maintenance, and retirement
- Enhance and maintain asset management frameworks, policies, standards, and governance models
- Safeguard compliance with licensing, vendor agreements, audit standards, and security policies
- Manage asset inventories, purchasing logs, renewals, warranty data, support contracts, and tracking systems
- Supervise software license optimization and cost-reduction initiatives, including renewals and vendor negotiations
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT leadership to anticipate needs and support budgeting strategies
- Implement and uphold ITAM tools and CMDB data standards in accordance with ITSM processes
- Create dashboards, status updates, audits, reconciliations, and analytics for executive-level visibility
- Propose process automation, optimization enhancements, and technology upgrades
- Mentor ITAM team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams on asset-related projects
- Assist in internal and external audits, remediation actions, and compliance reporting
Description
