Requirements
Must:
- 12+ years of demonstrated experience in firmware or embedded software development.
- Profound knowledge of C/C++, Assembly, and low-level programming.
- Practical experience with microcontrollers, SoCs, ARM Cortex, or similar architectures.
- Familiarity with RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS, ThreadX, VxWorks, or similar.
- Competence in debugging and hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, or USB.
- Understanding of hardware schematics, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and testing equipment.
- Experience in integrating hardware and firmware within high-reliability systems.
- Acquainted with version control tools, especially Git.
- Solid grasp of real-time systems, memory management, and power optimization.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python is a plus for automation and testing.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine firmware for embedded systems and microcontroller-based products.
- Integrate firmware with hardware elements, supporting board bring-up, testing, and validation processes.
- Diagnose and resolve firmware-related issues concerning performance, reliability, and integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and quality assurance to ensure high-quality products.
- Apply industry best practices for documentation, coding standards, and testing methodologies.
- Conduct system-level debugging using tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Engage in architecture discussions, design reviews, and planning sessions.
- Enhance existing firmware architectures and contribute to the long-term technology roadmap.
