Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Over 12 years of experience in embedded systems development and engineering leadership.
- Strong command of C, C++, and best practices for embedded programming.
- Practical experience with microcontrollers like ARM Cortex, DSPs, automotive controllers, or comparable platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of embedded Linux, Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), device drivers, and real-time limits.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, PWM, and Ethernet.
- Proficient in using debugging tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and In-Circuit Emulators (ICE).
- Strong grasp of communication protocols, system architecture, and hardware-software integration.
- Demonstrated capability to manage engineering teams, technical roadmaps, and schedules for product delivery.
- Experience with safety-critical or high-reliability systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct the entire lifecycle of embedded engineering development, encompassing requirements, architecture, design, implementation, testing, and production support.
- Collaborate effectively with hardware and firmware engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of embedded systems.
- Create and enhance software for microcontrollers, RTOS environments, and embedded Linux platforms.
- Architect and design embedded system solutions that achieve performance, reliability, and security benchmarks.
- Conduct code reviews, provide guidance, and uphold engineering best practices.
- Formulate and execute detailed test plans for the validation and verification of embedded systems.
- Diagnose intricate system-level issues involving hardware, firmware, and system integration.
- Partner closely with product management to convert requirements into engineering outputs.
- Assist in production deployment, manufacturing tests, and post-release enhancements.
- Ensure the accuracy of documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and release notes.
