Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Masters preferred)
- Over 12 years of practical experience in embedded systems development and leadership roles
- Proficient in C and C++ programming for embedded environments
- Extensive experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and SoC architectures
- In-depth knowledge of RTOS (such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX, ThreadX) and bare-metal development
- Experienced with device drivers and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, BLE, Wi-Fi)
- Strong background in board bring-up and hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG)
- Familiarity with Linux Kernel, BSP, and embedded Linux distributions
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities and a solid understanding of system-level design trade-offs
- Proven record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex embedded solutions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Oversee the architecture, design, development, and rollout of embedded systems and firmware solutions
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, QA, product, and manufacturing groups
- Propel technical decision-making and mentor junior engineers
- Create system-level design documentation, interface specifications, and technical requirements
- Execute board-level bring-up, develop device drivers, and perform low-level debugging
- Develop real-time embedded applications using RTOS and bare-metal environments
- Enhance system reliability, performance, and energy consumption
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best engineering practices and high coding standards
- Manage system integration, validation, and testing, including automation frameworks
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues at hardware/software interfaces
- Assist with release management, scalability, and production readiness efforts
