Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in supply chain optimization or inventory allocation.
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Strong grasp of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and mathematical optimization techniques.
- Proficient in Python, PySpark, and SQL, with practical experience in data analysis and machine learning libraries.
- Experience with optimization solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX, Xpress MP, or Google OR-Tools is preferred.
- Proven track record of applying mathematical and analytical models to real-world business challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex ideas to business stakeholders.
- Background in retail or CPG supply chain systems is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Refactor and enhance existing optimization algorithms written in Python utilizing object-oriented programming principles.
- Employ advanced data science methods to address business challenges in supply chain optimization and retail inventory planning.
- Analyze extensive and intricate datasets using statistical techniques and machine learning models to derive insights for replenishment and inventory allocation.
- Create, deploy, and sustain predictive models and optimization algorithms aimed at improving inventory management, minimizing stockouts, and maximizing resource utilization.
- Collaborate with various teams to convert business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.
- Design and implement experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of replenishment strategies and allocation methods.
- Track key supply chain performance indicators, assess model performance, and propose recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science, optimization, and supply chain management.
- Guide and collaborate with fellow data scientists to foster knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.
