Requirements
Must:
- 12+ years of experience in BI architecture, data engineering, and analytics delivery
- Proficient in BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or equivalent
- Strong background in SQL, data modeling, dimensional modeling, as well as star and snowflake schemas
- Practical experience in building ETL/ELT solutions using tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Data Factory, or similar
- Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native BI services
- In-depth knowledge of data warehousing, OLAP, semantic models, and query optimization
- Experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and oversee multiple workstreams
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and decision-making competency
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision
- Preferred: Experience with real-time analytics, streaming technologies, and knowledge of Python, Spark, or related programming tools
- Preferred: Experience in implementing BI governance and enterprise-wide standards, along with consulting or enterprise-scale project experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of enterprise BI and analytics architecture
- Create scalable data models, semantic layers, and multi-layered BI frameworks
- Establish architectural standards, best practices, and a roadmap for BI solutions
- Evaluate and choose appropriate BI tools, technologies, and platforms
- Oversee the development of dashboards, visualizations, reporting solutions, and data models
- Build and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines to support the BI ecosystem
- Implement data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
- Ensure that BI solutions adhere to performance, availability, and security standards
- Collaborate with business teams to convert requirements into effective BI solutions
- Partner with data engineering, analytics, cloud, and application teams for seamless end-to-end delivery
- Spearhead technical discussions, design reviews, and solution workshops
- Mentor BI developers, data engineers, and analysts in best practices
- Provide technical direction for BI projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Prepare documentation, architectural diagrams, and development guidelines
- Architect BI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Utilize modern BI architectures including data lakes, lakehouses, and real-time analytics
- Integrate machine learning or predictive analytics as necessary.
