Requirements
Must:
- Over 12 years of experience in API development and integration
- Proficient in crafting RESTful APIs using languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js
- Familiarity with API management platforms like Apigee, MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, Kong, or Azure API Management
- Strong grasp of JSON, XML, Web Services, and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with both relational and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and logging tools
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team
- Preferred: Experience in Agile or Scrum environments
- Preferred: Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes
- Preferred: A background in enterprise-level integration projects
- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain RESTful and SOAP APIs catering to business and technical needs
- Integrate APIs with internal and external systems, databases, and third-party services
- Create and manage API documentation, specifications, and version control using tools such as Swagger or Postman
- Implement security protocols, including OAuth, JWT, SSL, and various authentication and authorization frameworks
- Diagnose production issues, enhance performance, and guarantee high system availability
- Engage in solution architecture discussions and technical design evaluations
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA teams, and other stakeholders for seamless integration
- Write clean, scalable, and thoroughly documented code adhering to industry best practices
- Perform unit testing and assist in automated testing and deployment pipelines
