Requirements

Must:
To excel in this position, you should possess: - Technical expertise with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows server/desktop operating systems, hardware, and Microsoft Office. - Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. - The physical ability to lift 15–25 lbs. and perform basic troubleshooting tasks. - Reliable transportation for onsite visits. Education/Experience: - An associate degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. - A high school diploma or GED is required. - A minimum of 1 year of practical experience with LAN, WAN, desktop/server operating systems, and general software applications. - Prior IT Help Desk experience is a plus. - A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are mandatory.

Responsibilities

As our IT Support Technician, you will be the approachable, first-line technical resource aiding employees throughout the organization. Your key duties will include: - Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware such as PCs, laptops, printers, handheld devices, and peripherals. - Providing phone and in-person assistance for user issues related to network access, hardware, and software. - Supporting multiple state locations; occasional travel will be necessary. - Maintaining, updating, and addressing LAN/WAN connectivity issues, including VPN tunnels. - Assisting with backups, restorations, and system monitoring. - Acting as the primary helpdesk contact for computer and network-related concerns. - Tracking and managing software licensing for applications like Exchange, Windows, Office, ADP, and RAS. - Keeping inventory and replacement schedules for hardware and mobile devices. - Assigning and tracking company mobile phones and ensuring accurate HRIS documentation. - Assisting with route accounting software (RAS) as necessary. - Providing training, documentation, and ensuring that technology areas remain organized.
