Requirements
Must:
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity
- Minimum of 3 years in passive vulnerability analysis
- Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience (Masters degree preferred)
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC)
- Advanced certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CEH, or other GIAC certifications are a plus
- Experience with network defense technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Proficient in network protocol analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Kibana)
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments and security configurations
- Understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST 800-53) and defense-in-depth architectures
- Strong analytical abilities and investigative mindset
- Exceptional documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated with a desire for continual learning in the cyber security domain
Responsibilities
- Maintain operational security tools and infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and network devices
- Analyze network activities, investigate anomalies, and identify vulnerabilities to propose corrective measures
- Conduct security compliance scanning and verify results with system users and administrators
- Collaborate with teams for incident management, system hardening, and overall operational enhancements
- Document and report on anomalies, vulnerabilities, and recommended enhancements
- Support policy development and additional tasks as required
