Senior Cyber Security Analyst

- Top Secret Clearance (SCI Eligible) - Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity operations or analysis - At least 3 years of experience in passive vulnerability detection techniques - Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree - A masters degree is a plus - IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC) - CSSP Analyst certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH) - Preferred advanced certifications such as CISSP or OSCP - Practical experience with firewalls, network TAPs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection - Proficient in evaluating network protocols using tools like Wireshark, Tshark, and tcpdump - Skilled in analyzing datasets, including Zeek and firewall logs, for threat hunting - Proficient in using data analysis platforms like Splunk, Kibana, and Arkime - Strong understanding of network vulnerabilities and misconfigurations - Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, adversary techniques, and detection/response strategies - Familiar with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, CMMC, NIST 800-53) - Excellent documentation and reporting skills - Strong analytical and investigative skills - Comfortable communicating technical issues to diverse audiences - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
