Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
- Security+, CASP+, or an equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III certification is needed.
- A minimum of 5 years of practical Linux administration experience in enterprise settings is required.
- Profound expertise with RHEL and similar distributions is essential.
- Strong aptitude in Linux command-line interface and shell scripting is necessary.
- Familiarity with virtualized environments, preferably VMware, is desired.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (such as Ansible or Puppet) is beneficial.
- Experience in supporting secure or regulated environments, especially within DoD/IC, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee enterprise Linux systems, including RHEL and its derivatives.
- Conduct system upgrades, manage patches, and implement security hardening measures.
- Maintain configuration baselines and ensure adherence to security protocols.
- Diagnose system issues and assist with performance optimization initiatives.
- Automate routine administrative tasks utilizing Bash and/or Python.
- Support Linux systems within virtualized environments (preferably VMware).
- Engage in the creation of system documentation, development of standards, and establishment of operational procedures.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to further mission objectives.
