Requirements
Must:
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline - or equivalent hands-on experience
- Over 6 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer, particularly in NLP/NLU
- Demonstrated experience managing complete data science projects in production settings
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Extensive knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries, including:
- scikit-learn
- PyTorch
- spaCy
- Hugging Face
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Design, enhance, and deploy machine learning models to extract, parse, and categorize data from intricate PDF tax documents
- Develop and improve NLP/NLU systems to handle unstructured and semi-structured financial information
- Lead comprehensive data science projects from concept and experimentation to implementation and oversight
- Utilize statistical methods to discover signals, trends, and insights that guide product development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and leadership to embed ML solutions into client-facing applications
- Provide mentorship to junior data scientists and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative technical environment
- Articulate complex technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences
