Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance
- Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field
- Over 5 years of experience in data science or machine learning, including a minimum of 2 years in federal or defense programs
- Proficiency in Maven, Vantage, TDP, and Advana
- Skilled in Python and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experienced in data wrangling, feature engineering, and model evaluation in secure or isolated environments
- Familiarity with DoD data systems, cybersecurity protocols, and cloud solutions (e.g., AWS GovCloud, C2S, Azure Government)

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, creation, and implementation of machine learning models for defense applications, including predictive analytics and decision support systems
- Collaborate with diverse teams including analysts, engineers, and military personnel to define project requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques on structured and unstructured data from various sources (e.g., sensor data, ISR, logistics, cybersecurity)
- Ensure that models adhere to ethical standards set by DoD AI principles and governance policies
- Mentor junior data scientists and aid in the development of reusable tools, frameworks, and best practices
- Facilitate the integration of machine learning models into operational systems and cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
