Requirements
Must:
We require U.S. Citizenship and an active security clearance at the Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI level. You should hold a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. You should have over 5 years of experience in data science or machine learning, with at least 2 years specifically supporting federal or defense initiatives. Proficiency with tools such as Maven, Vantage, TDP, and Advana is essential, as well as strong skills in Python and popular ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience in data wrangling, feature engineering, and model evaluation within secure or air-gapped environments is also necessary. Familiarity with DoD data systems, cybersecurity protocols, and cloud platforms like AWS GovCloud and Azure Government is preferred.

Responsibilities
In this role, I will lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models tailored for defense-related applications, focusing on predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and decision support systems. I will collaborate with cross-functional teams that include analysts, engineers, and military stakeholders to outline requirements and provide actionable insights. I will apply advanced statistical and machine learning methodologies to structured and unstructured data sourced from diverse channels such as sensor data, ISR, logistics, and cyber. I will ensure that our models are explainable, auditable, and adhere to DoD AI ethical principles and data governance frameworks. Additionally, I will mentor junior data scientists and contribute to creating reusable tools, frameworks, and best practices, while also supporting the integration of ML models into operational systems and cloud-based environments.
