Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a four-year institution preferred; or related experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
- Capable of writing reports, business letters, and procedure manuals.
- Skilled at effectively presenting information and addressing queries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Knowledgeable in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and basic geometry and trigonometry.
- Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world situations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to collect data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions.
- Competent in interpreting a wide array of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagrammatic formats.
- Must be able to lift and carry test equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and possess specific vision capabilities, including close vision for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain testing procedures and hardware/software for electronic circuit board production.
- Evaluate circuit board designs for testability requirements.
- Assist manufacturing in failure analysis, tester debugging, and reducing test equipment downtime.
- Provide recommendations for testing processes and documentation from product design to initial production.
- Generate test data reports and prepare technical documentation with recommendations.
- Routinely review test equipment designs and associated RMA issues with customers.
- Lead engineering and technical staff in fabricating testing apparatus and control equipment.
- Manage engineering activities related to the development, procurement, installation, and calibration of testing instruments.
- Define test conditions, sequences, and phases for operations.
- Oversee operational, functional, and performance aspects of tests.
- Conduct moderately complex assignments related to both standard and custom devices.
- Analyze test data and create technical reports for test engineering and management teams.
- Develop or utilize computer software and hardware for testing machinery and equipment.
- Perform regular technique development and maintenance aligned with industry standards, including ISO and QS.
- Facilitate training in new procedures for production testing staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations as directed by supervisors.
- Follow all company security policies and procedures.
