- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in failure analysis and system-level testing within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient with Linux Terminal and Bash scripting, capable of training others in Linux basics. Intermediate programming abilities in Bash and Python are required, along with a strong understanding of statistical analysis and its use in data-driven troubleshooting.
- Preferred Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is advantageous, as well as expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript), advanced Linux command-line operations, and hardware/network troubleshooting. Candidates should have a solid grasp of networking concepts, hardware/software integration, and diagnostics in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- System Level Debugging & Failure Analysis: Conduct hands-on failure analysis of compute systems at both server and rack levels, documenting findings and driving corrective measures. Validate server components and execute system testing while diagnosing complex failures involving interconnects and liquid cooling systems.
- Hardware and Firmware Integration: Configure BIOS settings, troubleshoot system failures during POST, and resolve firmware compatibility issues. Utilize Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) tools to monitor system health and perform remote diagnostics.
- Linux and Remote Access Protocols: Employ Linux CLI tools to identify hardware, BIOS, and configuration issues. Troubleshoot connectivity issues using Linux utilities and access server systems via secure shell (SSH) for real-time failure assessment.
- Documentation and Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analyses on test data to identify failure trends and support continuous improvement. Develop SQL queries for data correlation and create dashboards to track performance metrics.
- Scripting and Automation: Automate tasks and enhance efficiency through scripting in Python, JavaScript, and Bash.

Description
The Manufacturing Test Engineer is essential in hands-on debugging, validation, and system-level failure analysis of cutting-edge server and rack systems within a diverse manufacturing environment. This role requires excellent Linux command-line skills, hardware integration knowledge, and advanced problem-solving abilities. We are looking for someone who adopts structured, data-oriented methodologies and works collaboratively with Quality, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering teams to pinpoint root causes and enhance First Pass Yield (FPY). All Manufacturing Test Engineers must work on-site at our production facility in Florence, KY. For candidates living outside a 50-mile radius, relocation assistance services may be offered. The position entails 12-hour shifts across various schedules. Overtime may be necessary based on business requirements.
