We require applicants to hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field. A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in failure analysis and system-level testing within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with the Linux Terminal and Bash scripting, with the capability to teach others about Linux fundamentals. Intermediate programming skills in both Bash and Python are also necessary. A solid understanding of statistical analysis and its application to data-driven troubleshooting and decision-making is critical. A combination of education and experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but prior experience in a manufacturing setting is mandatory; experience in high-level assembly and hardware integration is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be responsible for performing hands-on debugging and failure analysis of computing systems at the server and rack levels. This involves conducting L6, L10, and L12 level testing and integration, interpreting diagnostic logs, and utilizing structured troubleshooting techniques to diagnose complex failures. I will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Process, and Manufacturing Engineering teams, to address hardware failures and implement long-term solutions. My responsibilities will also include configuring and validating BIOS settings for diverse server builds, troubleshooting system failures, and utilizing Linux CLI tools for diagnosing hardware and configuration issues. Additionally, I will perform statistical analysis on test data to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Description
As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, I will engage in automation scripting and mentoring junior engineers to enhance the system performance of server, networking, and storage platforms, particularly those involving AI/ML, GPGPU, and hardware accelerators. The position requires on-site work at our production facilities located in Florence, KY, with relocation assistance offered to qualifying candidates residing beyond a 50-mile radius. The work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts across multiple schedules, and the possibility of occasional overtime may arise based on business needs. Preferred qualifications include a Masterβs degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with proficiency in various scripting languages and advanced Linux operations. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively will be key to succeeding in this role.
