Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field. You should have at least 3 years of practical experience in failure analysis and system-level testing within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Linux Terminal and Bash scripting is essential, along with intermediate programming abilities in Bash and Python. A solid understanding of statistical analysis and its application in data-driven troubleshooting and decision-making is also required. Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is mandatory, and familiarity with high-level assembly and hardware integration is highly favored.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will conduct hands-on failure analysis of compute systems at both the server and rack levels, isolating root causes, documenting findings, and driving corrective actions in a complex manufacturing landscape. You will interpret diagnostic logs and system health outputs for targeted debugging and validation of server components. You will also perform system testing at multiple levels, identifying failures in power delivery, firmware mismatches, and network communication issues. Collaboration with Quality, Process, and Manufacturing Engineering teams is key, as you will complete comprehensive hardware failure analyses. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring BIOS settings, troubleshooting POST failures, and utilizing BMC tools for monitoring system health.
Description
We expect you to leverage Linux CLI tools for isolating hardware anomalies and utilize secure shell (SSH) for remote diagnostics. Perform statistical analyses on test data to identify trends that can enhance First Pass Yield (FPY) and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will use SQL for data correlation and develop Excel Macros and Power BI dashboards to streamline reporting and visualization of test metrics. Lastly, you will employ scripting and automation techniques to enhance operational efficiency. This position requires you to work on-site at our production facilities located in Florence, KY, with the opportunity for relocation assistance for those outside the area.
