Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Geographic Information Systems or an equivalent field
- Over 7 years of experience in a GIS-related domain, with at least 2 years focused on GIS development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse platforms such as in-person interactions, phone calls, web-based communications, emails, proposals, and technical documentation
- Proven ability to manage schedules and oversee project tasks
- Experience collaborating with project managers and maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members
- Proactive in problem-solving and business development strategies
- Expertise in managing multiple complex projects in a dynamic environment with fluctuating priorities
- Proficient in setting up and deploying GIS applications across desktop, web, and server settings
- Capable of providing training to clients and staff on GIS-related operations and processes
- Skilled in collecting, creating, organizing, and managing geographic and related data
- Proficient in performing geoprocessing and geospatial analysis
Responsibilities
- Lead GIS initiatives on various projects
- Identify and develop prospective clients and projects
- Collaborate closely with project managers to coordinate, plan, and formulate GIS solutions
- Work together with technicians and specialists to design and develop GIS applications, maps, and systems
- Deliver GIS support and solutions to both internal and external clients
- Ensure adherence to Gateway Mapping policies and industry best practices
- Maintain a current and comprehensive understanding of technical advancements
- Travel to other office locations and client sites as needed
