Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of IT experience, primarily in project leadership or management roles
- At least 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or IT infrastructure
- Proven experience in managing cybersecurity activities and resolutions
- Strong background in infrastructure with vendor management skills for vulnerability identification
- Familiarity with cybersecurity operations and processes
- Experience in facilitating resolutions with cross-functional teams
- Capability to convey the significance of cybersecurity issues to relevant teams
- Understanding of cybersecurity technologies and standards
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to executives
- Bachelors degree
Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive cybersecurity operations in collaboration with the client Director
- Support ongoing activities, incident management, and project tasks in cybersecurity operations
- Represent the cybersecurity operations team in interactions with leaders, IT teams, vendors, and cross-departmental groups
- Assist with the evaluation of vendors and products related to cybersecurity
- Act as a facilitator for projects and communications among peers, subordinates, and upper management regarding cybersecurity issues
- Lead the planning and execution of cybersecurity initiatives, proactively managing risks and challenges
- Provide clear and accurate updates on progress and risks regarding various cybersecurity initiatives
- Effectively communicate cybersecurity-related information across the global organization
- Use cybersecurity expertise to engage with stakeholders and ensure comprehensive discussion of relevant issues
- Collaborate with diverse teams to achieve cybersecurity project goals
- Maintain documentation related to security operations and processes through strong analytical skills
- Drive remediation efforts for identified vulnerabilities with relevant IT teams
- Facilitate monitoring of infrastructure and manage incidents related to cybersecurity
- Analyze and report on cybersecurity trends and metrics
- Prepare monthly Key Performance Metrics (KPMs) using tools such as Jira and PhishER, then publish findings on Confluence
- Collect and analyze compliance statistics periodically
- Organize and lead relevant scrums and sprints to collaborate on delivering solutions
Description
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Project Manager to join our team in Alameda, CA, on a long-term rolling contract basis, working onsite five days a week. This role involves driving our cybersecurity operations alongside the client Director, ensuring effective management of ongoing activities, incident responses, and critical projects.
