Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Business, or Information Technology
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role within data-related projects
- Strong understanding of data modeling, analytics, and requirements gathering techniques
- Proficiency in utilizing tools such as Jira for ticket creation and project management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively
- Experience in Agile methodologies and familiarity with sprint planning and execution
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams, such as Data Engineers and Solution Architects
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for data quality and usability
Responsibilities
- Lead discussions with business and technical parties to gather data use cases and analytical goals
- Convert business objectives into precise data-centric requirements covering source systems, key dimensions, and metrics
- Develop clear and actionable Jira tickets and user stories for data-related tasks
- Establish acceptance criteria focusing on data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including data definitions and decision logs
- Provide real-time support to Data Engineers during the build and testing phases
- Assist in clarifying any ambiguities or scope issues encountered during project execution
- Collaborate with Technical Delivery Managers on sprint planning and backlog refinement
- Engage in project standups and retrospectives as a vital team member
- Work alongside Solution Architects to ensure requirements meet platform standards
- Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to identify dependencies early in the process
- Ensure that data solutions cater to business needs within established governance frameworks
- Enhance the quality and consistency of documentation and data ticketing
- Participate in retrospectives to improve data delivery and Business Analyst practices
- Identify and advocate for opportunities to automate and standardize processes
