Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Over 5 years of pertinent experience in test execution, analysis, test automation, and/or software development
- Previous exposure to RF systems and wireless communication technologies, particularly in RF testing and performance validation is highly advantageous
- Intermediate understanding of Cloud Computing Services and Cloud Infrastructure
- Familiarity with key services such as storage, compute services, containers, and virtual servers
- Solid grasp of Linux and/or Unix operating systems
- Hands-on experience with software automation using languages such as Python, C, C++, C#, Java, etc.
- Experience with software management tools like JIRA, GIT, and/or Bamboo
- Proficiency with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like PyCharm, Spyder, Pydev, etc.
- Knowledge in machine virtualization, notably VMware Desktop and ESXi
- Database familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, and/or SQL Server
- Understanding of network switches and routers
- Knowledge of space systems and orbital analysis
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Strong desire to creatively solve complex problems and innovate on processes, tools, or technologies
- Motivated to engage in and enhance test automation through innovative approaches
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting products and analyses effectively
- Capable of building valuable relationships and establishing connections with colleagues
- Ability to prioritize important tasks and take ownership of assignments
- Proactive in seeking self-improvement and sharing knowledge with others
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and system development engineers to maintain product quality
- Break down requirements into test objectives that are verifiable
- Manage the integration, upkeep, and operation of system hardware and software platforms
- Implement and maintain automated test systems for communication products
- Create scripts and/or systems to automate testing and validation of products, capturing test artifacts and generating metrics and reports
- Reproduce and isolate reported software and/or hardware issues using test setups and document any non-compliances
- Investigate and execute upgrades for ground infrastructure and testing systems
- Maintain test automation for feature, defect, and regression evaluations
- Oversee configuration management of test automation software and scripts
- Master industry-standard tools and software including Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana, Amazon Web Services, CI/CD DevOps pipelines, and container technologies
