Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or relevant experience that compensates for the lack of a degree
- 8+ years of applicable experience in IT and Cybersecurity
- Proficient in MS Office tools and familiar with ticket tracking systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing and resolving Linux-based systems
- Experience with VMware, vCenter, NetApp, and ESXi
- Proven capability in diagnosing and addressing database connectivity issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-expert audiences
- Ability to build rapport with leadership and peers beyond your immediate team
- Analytical mindset, with a talent for problem-solving and creative thinking
- Proactive in providing insights and sharing knowledge with colleagues
- Excellent organizational skills with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and troubleshoot compute systems following the application of STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides)
- Install, oversee, and enhance data center infrastructure components, including Linux servers, virtual machines, and backup systems
- Analyze and automate procedures that facilitate rapid responses to recurring issues, both independently and collaboratively
- Collaborate with team members to monitor networks and equipment, responding to alerts and providing on-call assistance
- Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify issues affecting network access, login functions, and application availability
- Independently manage trouble tickets, create configuration change orders, and test corrective measures
