Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
- Over 8 years of experience in software programming on Agile teams
- Proficient in one or more programming languages with the ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Experience in designing scalable systems and enhancing performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities paired with sound engineering judgment
- Excellent communication skills, able to present complex information clearly to various audiences
- Comfortable building relationships with leadership and colleagues outside your immediate team
- Analytical mindset with the ability to critically assess situations and develop innovative solutions
- Proactive in giving feedback and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge
- Capable of prioritizing personal and potentially team tasks while meeting deadlines
Responsibilities
- Independently design and implement complex features and services
- Manage technical execution and ensure quality outcomes for assigned subsystems
- Promote best practices in CI/CD, automation, testing, and secure coding
- Conduct root cause analysis for high-impact issues and initiate preventive measures
- Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews and design discussions
- Update issue/feature data in software tracking tools such as Atlassian
- Adhere to Iridiums processes related to Change Control, Prioritization, Risk Management, and COTS Management, while assisting in documentation development
- Collaborate across departments to shape requirements and technical plans, and clearly present data and concepts through documentation and briefings
