Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 3 years of proven experience with AWS cloud systems
- Previous experience in a network operations or NOC environment
- Intermediate proficiency in Linux command line
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information and ideas
- Ability to build strong relationships with managers and team members
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and self-awareness to identify and rectify mistakes
- Enthusiastic about self-improvement and sharing knowledge with others
Responsibilities
- Contribute technical expertise in monitoring, testing, and upgrading cloud-based Gateway network elements
- Identify and resolve system/service anomalies with urgency
- Promptly respond to alerts and take corrective actions to restore network services
- Collaborate with Iridium Engineering teams, managers, and vendor support for fault resolution
- Document, prioritize, and drive resolution of system and service issues
- Create, validate, and update technical procedures
- Assist in troubleshooting customer trouble tickets and serve as an escalation point when necessary
- Work with various subject matter experts to draft, update, and organize technical training guides and procedural documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
