IT Support Specialist / Help Desk Technician

Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in an IT help desk, desktop support, or IT support specialist role
- Strong proficiency in Windows desktop and Microsoft 365 support
- Capability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, network, and user access issues
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Availability to work full-time, in-office in Louisville, KY
- Willingness to participate in after-hours/on-call rotations
- Ability to travel occasionally to customer locations for onsite support
- Demonstrated reliability in attendance and accountability
- Proficiency in documenting tickets and following through until resolution
- Professional demeanor and communication style
- Ability to pass a background check
- (Preferred) Experience in an MSP environment or supporting multiple business clients
- (Preferred) Familiarity with ticketing systems, RMM tools, endpoint security, or PSA platforms
- (Preferred) CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar technical certifications
- (Preferred) Basic understanding of firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and Active Directory / Entra ID
- (Preferred) Experience in small to mid-sized business environments
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support for business clients, resolving issues efficiently
- Respond to customer support inquiries via phone, email, remote tools, and ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, printers, software, email, and user-related issues
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, password resets, permissions, and account modifications
- Address basic network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, firewall, and endpoint problems
- Support various business devices and commonly used applications
- Escalate issues to engineering support when necessary
- Accurately document work within the ticketing system
- Adhere to established processes while exercising sound judgment
- Participate in after-hours/on-call support rotation as needed
- Occasionally provide onsite support at client locations when required
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude consistently
