Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in QA testing specifically for POS systems in retail, restaurant, or entertainment sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing test plans, authoring test cases, and managing defect logging and tracking, preferably using Azure DevOps.
- Strong grasp of POS configurations, including menus, pricing, taxes, tenders, and discounts.
- Hands-on knowledge of setting up POS labs and conducting hardware testing.
- Proficiency in database testing and validation processes.
- Familiarity with cloud applications, Kubernetes, and Docker for deployments.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test plans and strategies for POS projects to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Author and implement high-level test cases that address essential business processes within POS modules.
- Set up and maintain lab environments featuring various POS devices such as terminals, printers, handheld devices, KDS, pin pads, and scanners.
- Conduct functional and integration testing for POS configurations, including menus, pricing, taxes, payments, discounts, and loyalty programs.
- Execute end-to-end transaction testing, covering guest checks, multi-tender payments, and employee management functionalities.
- Validate hardware devices including receipt printers, scanners, and connected peripherals.
- Ensure accurate database testing by checking transaction data, synchronization of the POS workstation database, and central reporting database accuracy.
- Manage defects by logging, tracking, and overseeing resolution processes in Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate effectively with Cloud and DevOps teams on deployments within Kubernetes and Docker environments.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, potential risks, and deliverable statuses.
