Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a similar area (or equivalent experience).
- Epic EMP and SCR (Security Coordinator) certification is mandatory.
- Over 3 years of experience in Epic security build (security classes, roles, EMP/DEP templates).
- Comprehensive understanding of IAM concepts: RBAC, SOD, provisioning automation, authentication/authorization.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, SOX, and healthcare security benchmarks.
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to secure access practices.
Responsibilities
- Configure and sustain Epic EMP and DEP records, security classes, roles, and user templates.
- Oversee Epic user provisioning, de-provisioning, and identity lifecycle workflows for clinical, revenue cycle, and operational users.
- Develop and maintain provider profiles (SER) and manage provider onboarding/offboarding.
- Conduct proactive security audits, access reviews, and compliance monitoring (including SOX, HIPAA, and internal controls).
- Collaborate with Epic application teams to ensure security design aligns with workflows, best practices, and organizational standards.
- Resolve access issues, security conflicts, and role inconsistencies.
- Support enterprise IAM processes, including role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege governance, and privileged access workflows.
- Integrate Epic user access requests and approvals into IAM platforms.
- Engage in IAM roadmap initiatives focused on automation, access governance, and optimization.
- Collaborate with HRIS, IT Security, IAM, and clinical leadership to keep identity data accurate and uphold security policies.
- Work closely with compliance and audit teams to enhance risk oversight and regulatory reporting.
- Participate in on-call rotation for access-related issues as necessary.
