Requirements
Must:
- 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory role within AV installation
- CTS certification is required
- CTS-I certification must be obtained within 3 months
- Understanding of AVIXA standards and best practices for educational systems
- Proficient in AV control systems like Crestron, Extron, and AMX; knowledgeable in DSPs such as Biamp and QSC
- Familiarity with classroom technologies including lecture capture, wireless presentation, and distance learning tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
- Capability to resolve problems effectively under pressure
- Professional demeanor with a team-oriented approach
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work at heights using ladders/lifts
- Valid drivers license and dependable transportation
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally on short notice
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage AV installation teams, ensuring adherence to AVIXA and ITC standards
- Organize daily project operations, including scheduling and task assignments, to meet deadlines
- Provide on-site technical guidance and act as the main technical liaison for clients and project managers
- Mentor junior technicians, enhancing their technical and career development towards certification
- Maintain professionalism and safety at job sites, ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Install and configure AV equipment such as projectors, displays, cameras, and audio systems, focusing on educational contexts
- Terminate, test, and label AV cabling following AVIXA standards and ITC quality benchmarks
- Conduct system tests, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Interpret signal flow diagrams, architectural plans, and wiring schematics accurately
- Navigate various construction environments safely, which may include mounting and operating lifts as necessary
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Account Executives, and clients to relay progress and site issues
- Represent ITC professionally with clients, acting as a trusted technical adviser
- Offer insights on project workflows to enhance installation efficiency and processes
