Requirements
Must:
I require candidates to have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an Associate's degree as a minimum qualification. You should possess at least 3 years of experience working with C/C++ in embedded systems, particularly in avionics or automotive fields. You also need a minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware integration that includes device drivers. A solid understanding of digital and analog electronic schematics is necessary to drive software development, and you must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will develop real-time embedded applications that adhere to stringent timing requirements, alongside creating BSP software for proprietary (8/16/32-bit bare metal) and VME/VPX embedded systems. You will also be responsible for developing device driver software for hardware peripherals, which includes register-level drivers and modifications to existing OS drivers, as well as drivers for custom FPGA/CPLD peripherals. You will actively participate in all phases of software development from requirements gathering and design to coding, implementation, testing, and qualification. Generating and supporting software documentation such as Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), Software Design Documents (SDD), and Software Test Documents (STD) will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will assist in design review presentations for both internal teams and external customers. Your role will also involve participating in testing and qualification processes in real-world settings with external validators, contributing to enhancing development processes, and implementing new technologies. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
Description
You will be expected to provide solutions for a range of technical challenges with moderate complexity, all while working under general supervision and adhering to established procedures. Your work will be evaluated for the soundness of your technical decisions and overall accuracy. Preferred qualifications include experience in Linux kernel development and build systems like Yocto and Buildroot, as well as BSP development for SH2A, ARM, PowerPC, or x86 architecture processors. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, FPGAs/CPLDs, VHDL/Verilog, RTOS, and IPC (with ARINC-653 RTOS being a plus) is also advantageous. Experience with aircraft avionics, including compliance with MIL-STD-1553, is beneficial, and familiarity with DO178B/C, AS9100C/AS9115, and data modeling would be strong pluses.
