Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- Fundamental understanding of network protocols, software applications, or operational support systems preferred
- Possible certification relevant to the technology being supported
- One year of experience in telecommunications, internet, or network operation center settings preferred
- Prior experience with ticket management systems/applications (e.g., SMC Remedy), monitoring network devices, or software operating systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor network systems and application events
- Track network devices, interfaces, and applications using automated programs as instructed
- Generate tickets, incidents, work orders, service requests, and assignments as directed
- Provide initial outage notifications and event communications as specified
- Identify and correlate multiple customer issues associated with alarms/alerts to eliminate event redundancy as instructed
- Manage network/system/application monitoring and schedule alarms and alerts based on real-time observations, initial outage management, and notifications, providing 24/7 support
