Requirements
Must:
- Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI Poly
- BS or BA degree is required
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience, including familiarity with Splunk Enterprise Security (R)
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Sentinel (P) and relevant certifications such as:
- GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON)
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
- GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
- GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
- GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA)
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor computer networks for potential security threats
- Investigate security incidents and breaches in a timely manner
- Create detailed documentation of security breaches and evaluate their impact
- Collaborate with the security team to execute vulnerability assessments, including penetration testing
- Remedy identified vulnerabilities to uphold high security protocols
- Advise on and recommend optimal IT security practices
- Install and manage security tools and software to safeguard systems, including firewalls and data encryption
- Conduct thorough analyses, validate intrusion alerts, and produce forensically sound copies of data
- Decrypt information and provide comprehensive technical summaries and recommendations
- Analyze recovered data for pertinent details and perform dynamic analysis, including timeline, statistical, and file signature evaluation
- Execute real-time cyber defense activities to support Incident Response Teams (IRTs)
