Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in government acquisition, finance, financial management, program management, or a related field within a Department of Defense organization.
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) and self-service data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, or Qlik View is highly desirable.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in business management, engineering, computer science, mathematics, accounting, economics, or another relevant discipline.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree for candidates with seven (7) or more years of pertinent experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven time management abilities.
- Ability to perform data extraction, cleansing, analysis, visualization, and storytelling effectively.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from clients to improve data understanding.
- Analyze source systems and define the necessary data sources and transformation criteria.
- Design data models and develop metadata for comprehensive data analysis and visualization.
- Acquire and evaluate data metrics to enhance data visualizations and dashboards.
- Collaborate with business units and project teams to identify, prioritize, and document data visualization and business intelligence needs.
- Serve as an expert in functional and technical aspects of data visualization and business intelligence.
- Translate analytical requirements into prototype concepts for reports and dashboards while contributing to best practices in design and visualization.
- Utilize business intelligence tools to transform dashboard needs into deliverable solutions.
- Document processes for data acquisition, management, and governance effectively.
- Implement process improvements for increased efficiency.
- Create training materials and guides for end users.
- Conduct training sessions individually and in groups for users as needed.
- Provide support to a government financial office as required.
