Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years of experience in backend development
- Proficient in Python, Node.js, or other similar backend technologies
- Extensive knowledge of API architecture and optimization
- In-depth understanding of cloud server infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Proven experience in managing and tuning live production systems
- Solid knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their APIs
- Familiarity with embeddings and semantic search systems
- Experience with vector databases like Pinecone or Weaviate
- Understanding of AI orchestration frameworks and automation pipelines
- Strong skills in prompt engineering and model optimization
- Experience handling structured and unstructured datasets in production settings
Responsibilities
- Design and incorporate AI-driven functionalities into our consumer-oriented insurance quoting platforms and internal brokerage systems
- Optimize backend systems, servers, and cloud infrastructure for enhanced platform speed, reliability, and scalability
- Upgrade and sustain APIs that connect our systems with underwriters, carriers, and third-party services
- Boost database performance and refine data processing workflows for accurate, real-time quoting and underwriting transactions
- Construct and enhance AI-powered automation systems to facilitate consumer intake, underwriting processes, and internal operations
- Establish monitoring, logging, and performance tracking systems to proactively identify potential bottlenecks and consistently improve system reliability
Description
We are Alliance Income, one of Canadas rapidly expanding insurance brokerages and a burgeoning InsurTech company. Our multiple proprietary online insurance platforms empower consumers to receive quotes, submit applications, and interact directly with licensed advisors and underwriting partners. Our systems facilitate real-time connections with carriers and underwriters through API integrations, automation pipelines, and secure cloud infrastructure. We offer a competitive salary between $60,000 and $80,000 annually, complemented by performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and opportunities for long-term growth within our scaling InsurTech organization. We are located in Vaughan, ON and require candidates to be present onsite.
