Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- CompTIA A+ certification is preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking abilities
- Attention to detail and meticulous documentation skills
- Familiarity with IT processes, functions, and best practices
- Capacity to assist faculty, staff, and students in resolving hardware and software issues in an Active Directory environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all clients and maintain professional interactions with OTIS staff and college members
- Provide Tier 1 support via helpdesk phone, email, and in-person for college administrators, faculty, staff, and students
- Make independent support decisions at various campus locations
- Collaborate with IT services staff to offer Tier 1 and 2 IT support to the college community
- Communicate with OTIS staff on complex technical issues requiring escalation
- Install and configure networked computer systems, software, and hardware for college members, including equipment setup and data backup
- Troubleshoot and maintain client systems, recommend and implement software and hardware upgrades, and address reported issues
- Collaborate on college-wide Active Directory group policies
- Proactively manage patch management to identify and resolve system issues
- Enter accurate machine data into databases, ensuring data integrity
- Adhere to established procedures and protocols within OTIS and UGA
- Provide Tier 1 support for classroom technology
