Requirements
Must:
- A bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information science, or computer information systems (or a related field with relevant professional experience).
- Proficiency in communicating introductory/intermediate concepts including productivity applications, programming, operating systems, database management, networking, and/or web development.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Previous post-secondary teaching experience.
- Relevant work experience in the subject area to be taught.
- Familiarity with industry-related software and systems, including appropriate industry certifications.
- Degrees must be obtained from an accredited institution.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction and develop curriculum for courses.
- Prepare and distribute course outlines that align with learning objectives detailed in the syllabus.
- Create and evaluate learning outcomes.
- Assess student performance and maintain accurate grade records.
- Foster an effective learning environment using diverse instructional strategies.
- Collaborate on the development and ongoing evaluation of learning outcomes for program reviews and curriculum updates.
- Work with fellow faculty members to complete scheduled program assessments and utilize findings for curriculum adjustments.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques.
- Attend and participate in departmental, divisional, campus, and college meetings and committees.
- Contribute to college projects, surveys, studies, and reports relevant to the discipline or program.
- Collaborate in creating promotional materials for programs and/or disciplines.
- Support the colleges strategic goals.
- Perform additional related duties as needed or assigned.
