Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline; or a combination of education and substantial professional experience.
- 3-5 years of recent, applicable experience in areas such as IT support/administration, network engineering, network security, systems administration, cloud platforms, security operations, data analytics, or automation/DevOps.
- Capability to teach networking and security at all levels using hands-on, lab-based approaches across in-person and remote formats.
- Proven dedication to student-centered, inclusive teaching and ability to engage effectively with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
- Openness to develop and instruct online/hybrid/remote courses and commitment to continual professional development.
Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching and develop curriculum for the Computer Information Technology Department, focusing primarily on networking and security topics.
- Engage in regular curriculum review, assessment, and modifications.
- Create instructional materials that align with course objectives and student learning outcomes, utilizing new technologies to enhance instruction.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay updated in teaching methodologies and content expertise. Teach across different modalities including online, hybrid, and remote.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff.
- Actively engage in faculty responsibilities within the College and adhere to the stipulations outlined in the MCCC Collective Bargaining Agreement.
