Requirements
Must:
- I possess a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- I have a minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering or multidisciplinary product development, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
- I have a proven track record in leading system-level requirements definition, architecture development, and cross-functional integration.
- I understand systems engineering principles, including requirements traceability, interface management, risk management, and verification/validation planning.
- I have experience working on systems that involve embedded software, advanced wireless communication protocols, and ruggedized hardware.
- I demonstrate the ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate efforts across hardware, software, testing, and program management teams.
- I possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling me to translate complex technical concepts for the broader audience.
- I am a U.S. citizen and do not hold any dual citizenships.
Responsibilities
- I will lead the definition, analysis, and management of system-level requirements for complex wireless communication systems, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
- I will collaborate with functional teams, including hardware, embedded systems, application software, testing, systems, product management, and program management to capture customer requirements, identify technical dependencies, and drive solution alignment.
- I will facilitate effective communication and shared understanding among stakeholders to balance technical feasibility, business value, and customer priorities.
- I will contribute to system design and architectural discussions, ensuring that solutions reflect both internal capabilities and customer-centric design principles.
- I will provide ongoing support and guidance during development and integration phases, helping to resolve technical ambiguities and cross-team misalignments.
- I will mentor and guide team members, nurturing a culture of open collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- I will support the Sales and Product teams in proposal reviews, technical responses, and planning based on specific customer needs and technical objectives.
- I will conduct rapid technical feasibility studies to evaluate emerging product concepts and customer opportunities for next-generation wireless mesh solutions, reducing risk and expediting time-to-market.
- I will champion a lean, iterative approach to systems engineering that emphasizes swift decision-making, minimally viable solutions, and ongoing validation.
- I will identify and prioritize the highest technical and integration risks early, resolving them through targeted experiments or feasibility efforts to mitigate uncertainty at each development stage.
- I will foster a culture of technical agility, experimentation, and innovation in early-phase product development.
- I will identify and assess funded R&D opportunities that align with our technical strengths and product directions.
- I will collaborate closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Business Development to evaluate feasibility, risk, and strategic fit for new opportunities.
- I will lead the development of proposal content, including technical narratives, system architecture concepts, and execution plans, ensuring alignment with our long-term vision and commercialization potential.
- I will represent the technical team in customer meetings and reviews, clearly communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
