Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing CNC machining programs for metal components
- Proficiency in CNC programming
- Experience with Creo, Mastercam, Solidworks, or NX
- Familiarity with Vericut and CMM programming
- Knowledge of PCDMIS (Calypso)
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5)
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
Responsibilities
- Provide production support for CNC machine shop operations
- Convert engineering design specifications into manufacturing documentation including material types, tooling design, CNC programming, inspection plans, finishing standards, and assembly guidelines
- Implement process improvements through data analysis, best practices application, and innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, control, and enhance the manufacturing process
- Conduct process development for new product introductions to expedite market entry
- Optimize CNC programming using machining modeling techniques and analysis tools
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and document best practices for CNC machining
- Offer technical expertise in metrology and statistical process control (SPC) analysis
- Mentor colleagues in advanced machining techniques and tools
- Validate NC programs utilizing CGTech Vericut and Cimco Edit
