Requirements

Must:
We seek candidates with a minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on experience in Network Design and Administration, specifically with Palo Alto Networks and Cisco routers, switches, and security solutions, while adhering to best practices recommended by Cisco. A Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or a similar technical discipline from an accredited institution is required. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred. In addition, applicants must possess a valid California Drivers License. Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and multi-routing protocols is essential, as well as a working familiarity with all Cisco Platforms, including Cisco-ACI, DNAC, ISE, SDA, Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR, ASA, and Wireless Controllers with AirOnet Access Points, along with Palo Alto Firewalls and T1, Layer 2, and MPLS WAN circuits. Strong skills in planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making, and effective communication (both verbal and written) are necessary. Candidates should be prepared for projects that may involve lifting server appliances weighing up to 50 lbs. and managing potential heavy eye strain from extended computer monitor use.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, I will require you to implement and maintain all of our Cisco Platforms, including Catalysis, Nexus, ISR, ASR, ASA, and Wireless Controllers with AirOnet Access Points, as well as Palo Alto Firewalls and various WAN circuits. You will provide ongoing technical support for remote area networks, Internet, and VPN communications. Your duties will include troubleshooting network usage, perimeter security, and all network appliances. I will expect you to develop and implement policies and standards to ensure compliance with security procedures. You will be responsible for building networks and maintaining our external and internal web presence while administering those networks. Performing backups on internal and external Backbone Devices, documenting network infrastructure and design, and assisting with space planning related to network infrastructure needs will also be part of your role. Researching, ordering, configuring, and administering WAN circuits while collaborating with vendors, clients, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation and ongoing management will be essential. Additionally, you will assist in the design, installation, and management of network security solutions, as well as provide level 3 support for client-level IT issues that may lead to production downtime.
