Lead IBM Mainframe Assembler Developer

- You will be responsible for creating, updating, testing, and maintaining IBM ALC programs. - Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to ensure they generate the desired results and that instructions are accurate. - Write, update, and maintain programs or software packages to manage specific tasks, such as inventory tracking, data storage/retrieval, or controlling equipment. - Analyze, review, and modify programs using workflow charts and diagrams while applying your knowledge of computing capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. - Perform or oversee the revision, repair, or enhancement of existing programs to increase operational efficiency or adapt to new requirements. - Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify issues, and propose changes. - Carry out systems analysis and programming tasks necessary to maintain and manage the use of computer systems software as a system programmer. - Document the development and subsequent revisions of programs, adding comments to software application code for clarity. - Prepare and maintain detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operations, converting them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language. - Collaborate with Computer Systems Analysts (CSAs) to identify and resolve issues in running computer programs.
