Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java enterprise application development
- Expertise in RESTful API design and development
- Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS)
- Proficient in containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar
- Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines (Git)
- Familiarity with code quality and security tools (SonarQube or similar)
- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience in developing proof-of-concept (POC) prototypes
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Go
- Implement secure API gateways and data integration patterns
- Create thorough API documentation and testing frameworks
- Ensure APIs are scalable, performant, and reliable
- Integrate various system components, including IoT devices and enterprise applications
- Develop middleware solutions to facilitate system interoperability
- Implement event-driven architectures and message queuing systems
- Support secure deployment and management of cloud-native applications
- Build proof-of-concepts to validate technical solutions
- Collaborate with product teams to convert business requirements into technical designs
- Assess emerging technologies applicable to smart grid initiatives
- Engage in agile development practices and deliver sprint objectives
- Work closely with DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team
- Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations
