Requirements
Must:
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Ability to quickly learn, troubleshoot, and maintain existing COBOL programs with minimal documentation
- Availability for production support during weeknights and weekends as necessary
- Proven experience working within Agile teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and REXX
- Familiarity with SQL databases, specifically DB2 and VSAM
- Experience with online systems such as CICS
- Knowledge of change management tools like Endevor
- Proficient with debugging tools including Xpeditor, Intertest, and Abend-AID
- Experience using file and data utilities such as File Manager, SPUFI, QMF, SYNCSORT, and DFSORT
- Familiarity with testing tools like Postman and SOAP UI
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support existing COBOL applications with minimal guidance
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for production issues during specified hours
- Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure project deliverables are met
- Write and optimize SQL queries as needed
- Utilize various tools for debugging and change management
- Conduct testing using industry-standard tools
