Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in desktop support, particularly with:
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- MS Windows 10 and 11
- MS Office 2016/Office 365 applications
- Azure
- Mobile devices (e.g., iPhone, Android)
- VoIP Phone Services (Hosted VoIP Solutions)
- 5+ years of server administration experience, including:
- Active Directory / Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS)
- Hands-on desktop experience (Windows 10 and 11) and troubleshooting
- HP / Dell Server hardware
- Email Systems / Message Integration and Collaboration / Office 365
- Understanding of virtualization technologies
- 3+ years of networking and architecture experience, knowledgeable in WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, and DNS
- 2+ years of experience in supporting, deploying, and configuring Hypervisors (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Familiarity with SAN technologies and practical application of this knowledge
- Advanced understanding of server architecture, especially the connection between servers and networks
- Experience in configuring and creating databases with Microsoft SQL
- CompTIA+ Certification (applicants must obtain certification during the probationary period if not already held)
- CompTIA Server+ Certification (applicants must obtain certification during the probationary period if not already held; internal applicants may be exempt based on demonstrated knowledge)
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office/Office 365, and Microsoft Server Architecture
- Familiarity with IT documentation practices and their importance
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Solid reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in planning, performing, and decision-making
- Comfortable engaging with clients to discuss technology needs and offering recommendations
- Strong relationship-building skills internally and externally
- Experience working from a ticketing system, providing quality updates to clients and internal teams
- Effective collaboration and teamwork abilities
- Competence in project management and time management
- Proactive approach with the capability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues
- Willingness to learn and support emerging technologies
- Openness to additional responsibilities as required
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership while managing client relationships, team dynamics, and technical expertise
- Act as a proactive communicator and representative of Infinity Technologies, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring satisfaction
- Mentor and train IT Technicians, IT Systems Analysts, IT Senior Systems Analysts, and IT Systems Engineers on technical knowledge and customer service practices
- Serve as the escalation point for technical issues faced by IT Technicians, Systems Analysts, and Engineers, providing support via phone, remote access, or on-site visits
- Lead advanced projects for both internal and external stakeholders
- Assess project planning needs and provide tailored solutions for clients based on their specific requirements
- Oversee the timely delivery of projects, utilizing the Infinity Project Management platform for status updates
- Effectively communicate technical issues and solutions in relatable terms for customers
- Act as a technical link between Infinity Technologies, clients, users, and vendors
- Safeguard systems and data by identifying potential threats
- Collaborate with vendors for support, design solutions, and incident management
- Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware as necessary
- Engage in the planning, design, and implementation of engineering projects
- Analyze, evaluate, and enhance changes supporting company or client infrastructure
- Support various operating systems, databases, and utility software through installation and modification
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, ensuring accurate records of site surveys and network diagrams
- Provide thorough documentation of completed projects for all relevant stakeholders
- Escalate issues to appropriate personnel for swift resolution
- Record issues and resolutions in IT Documentation Systems
- Manage tickets and provide updates in Ticketing Systems
- Offer system architecture consultations to both internal and external contacts
- Execute data backup services
- Stay updated on current and emerging technologies relevant to the role
- Be available for after-hours support calls and respond promptly
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
