Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of experience in leading and managing multiple, competing deliverables
- Extensive expertise in Storage Architecture
- Proficient in Encryption, Fiber protocols, and configuration
- Knowledgeable in FICON, HCD/IOCP, and I/O Performance for DASD, Switches, and Virtual Tape
- Experience with refreshes and upgrades, including Brocade directors/switches, Hitachi DASD, and IBM Virtual Tape (TS7700)
- Skilled in Storage Area Network (SAN) replication design and configuration
- Capacity planning experience, including network and switches
- Competence in cost benefit analysis, consolidation, and reduction
- Experience designing and planning for Data Center Moves, including role swaps for production and disaster recovery
- Familiar with conducting Disaster Recovery Exercises
- Capability to lead and establish direction with minimal supervision
- Strong judgment skills within broadly defined practices and policies for selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across business units, operations, and technology to develop solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions
- Prioritize functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog to support the technology roadmap
- Contribute to creating the architecture roadmap across defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) to align with the product roadmap and development of best practices
- Clarify architectural details, assist with system design, and propose solution options to overcome architectural challenges
- Facilitate discussions focused on solutions, lead the design of intricate architectures, and implement creative solutions through knowledge and experimental approaches
- Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and innovative solution best practices
- Support team efforts in selecting the appropriate technology stack for solutions and assist in choosing preferred technology products
- Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are adequately addressed, including security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability
- Collaborate on the strategy for mainframe storage architecture in a diverse and dynamic storage environment, covering mainframe storage disk, engineering, and virtual tape
Description
We are looking for a Senior Mainframe Storage Consultant to join our team in Chandler, AZ, with a hybrid working model. This role will begin in the 3rd week of April, and there is a possibility that the client may convert the role to a direct employee after six months.
