Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to contractual obligations.
- Familiarity with software processes, including the software development lifecycle, operational functions, product management, or enterprise implementations.
- Experience in assessing AI systems, such as models and agentic workflows, is advantageous.
- Enrollment in a graduate program in computer science, machine learning, or a related field of engineering or science.
- Capability to conduct research in both technical areas and startup environments.
- Proficient in translating complex AI topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent writing abilities, specifically in AI technical documentation and proposal crafting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate emerging capabilities and companies in AI for their impact and relevance to national security initiatives.
- Formulate strategies for assessing AI systems, including models and AI agents.
- Assist in the creation of technical assessment reports and specifications for AI system requirements.
- Facilitate the technical due diligence of innovative AI startups in alignment with national security goals.
- Engage in discussions and deliver presentations with mission partners regarding AI-related technical challenges.
- Participate in monitoring projects with startups, contributing to discussions on use cases, deployment considerations, and the transition of these projects into actionable agreements.
- Lead or contribute to assessments of frontier AI capabilities focused on national security missions.
- Analyze technical problem statements and use cases from government associates to identify suitable AI solutions.
- Collaborate in discussions with AI startup companies, aiding the technical evaluation and due diligence process for potential investments.
